Parker Bowie Larson’s Editorial Approach to Layered Bedding

Posted by BBH Staff on

This past spring, Barrett Bergmann Home tapped designer, stylist, and long-time friend Parker Bowie Larson to create a custom bed using their newly launched Custom Bedding Program. The former Architectural Digest and Elle Decor editor approached the opportunity with a curatorial eye through her signature lens. The result: a bedding set that feels as timeless, tailored, and luxuriously layered as her interiors.

“Luxury doesn't have to be loud,” says Parker. “It’s about creating spaces that feel timeless, collected, and beautifully considered.”

Taking inspiration from the ultimate muse Coco Chanel, Parker selected refined fabrics in a delicate color palette of ivories, blush pinks, and warm neutral tones. She used one of BBH’s proprietary templates to combine a statement scenic print with sophisticated woven textures to create a dynamic composition. Demonstrating the flexibility of the Custom Bedding Program, Parker designed the duvet to be reversible. This intentional design element gives clients the ability to refresh their space with the flip of a blanket while remaining cohesive with the rest of the setting.

“The templates made it incredibly easy to customize the bed exactly how I envisioned it without starting from scratch. You still have complete creative control, but the process is incredibly intuitive.”

For Parker, that was the key benefit of the Custom Bedding Program. Streamlining a process that traditionally has been complex and costly into an easy to use, margin-friendly tool. Her bedding set truly embodies her style, using thoughtful layering and timeless detailing to create something with enduring elegance.
